Bill has over twenty-five years of experience in a wide range of corporate functions, including finance, accounting, marketing, operations and human resources, and he has worked in a variety of industries, including technology, energy, consumer goods and e-commerce. During his tenure at Sherwood, Bill has focused primarily on liquidations, IP monetization and sales, and Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors.
Bill spent fifteen years as chief financial officer at a number of venture-backed technology companies, including two that he co-founded. In his last position before joining Sherwood, he was the Head of Finance and Human Resources for an e-commerce start-up that provided a portfolio of solutions to up-and-coming consumer brands. In that role, he developed budgeting and forecasting models, implemented revenue and expense tracking, and was responsible for all accounting, client billing and customer service efforts. In addition, he managed all recruiting, hiring, benefits, compensation, personnel and legal matters.
Bill started his career as a Mechanical Engineer, working as a Project Engineer and a Structural Analyst for Exxon Company, USA and Sandia National Laboratories, respectively. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Dynamic Systems, Control and Robotics, both from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an M.B.A. with an emphasis in Finance from the University of California, Los Angeles.
