Mr. Cox has more than 30 years of financial and operating experience including corporate restructuring, workouts, reorganizations and bankruptcy experience, including executive financial management positions been retained in Senior Finance Positions as well as Bankruptcy Administrator/Advisory roles.
Mr. Cox has been with Sherwood Partners, Inc. for more than 15 years where he is primarily focused on assisting challenged companies through their lifecycle. He has worked with many companies that are struggling, in transition or distressed due to transactions, market conditions, or growth toward the next stage of development. He has led the restructuring of corporate obligations on many projects and has managed sale transactions for distressed companies, including their intellectual property. Mr. Cox has experience with venture backed technology companies corporate wind-downs, assignments for the benefit of the creditors, and bankruptcy.
Mr. Cox began his career with a certified public accounting firm in San Francisco where he was responsible for updating and preparing financial operating reports and preparing individual and corporate tax returns. He subsequently moved into the technology and semi-conductor industry where he has spent most of his early career. His industry experience includes, but not limited to, semi-conductor, clean energy, biopharmaceutical, agriculture, nutrition, movie and television, and transportation industries.
Mr. Cox holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio.
