Ryan Small is part of Sherwood’s professional team focused on corporate restructuring, receivership, Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors and Intellectual Property monetization. He works closely with the firm’s Managing Directors on financial advisory roles, including mergers and acquisitions, creditor and debtor negotiations, corporate wind-downs and sales of distressed assets.
Mr. Small has been involved in closing major transactions in the Energy, Semiconductor, Garment, Electronics, Manufacturing and Technology industries, developing a strong knowledge base of any industry with which he becomes involved. Mr. Small has also been engaged in restructuring millions of dollars of debt and has assisted numerous companies in successful negotiation with its creditors.
Prior to joining Sherwood, Mr. Small was the head of Business Development for a venture-backed, rapidly growing e-commerce startup company. He also held positions in executive banking at Wells Fargo Bank and portfolio management at Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Small graduated from New York University’s Stern School of Business earning a dual degree in finance and marketing, with advanced studies in banking, real estate, entrepreneurship and management.
