Mr. Goldsmith has over 20 years of experience in corporate restructuring, transactions, financial and strategic planning.
Prior to joining Sherwood, Mr. Goldsmith was a Director in the Restructuring & Turnaround practice of Alvarez & Marsal in New York. While there, Mr. Goldsmith worked as a company-side advisor, assisting management teams and boards of directors through financially challenged situations, both in and out of court. His notable client assignments included Murray Energy, Endo Pharmaceuticals, Lehman Brothers, Takata Corporation, PHH Mortgage, Francesca’s, Fairway Markets, among others.
His work focused on development of business plans, cash flow forecasts, Chapter 11 administration, with such activities including bankruptcy preparation, cash management, 363 sale transactions, creditor negotiations, and wind-down planning. His efforts led to successful plans of reorganization, refinancing and other value-enhancing transactions. Previously, Mr. Goldsmith held positions in transaction due diligence and as an audit professional at Ernst & Young.
Mr. Goldsmith is a graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in Finance and International Business. He completed a post-baccalaureate program in Accounting at George Mason University.
