David Johnson

Vice President, Los Angeles Office

David Johnson has seven years of experience in financial advisory and business restructuring roles including operational improvement, expense reduction, and litigation resolution.

Mr. Johnson was most recently the Director of Asset Management at a $13 billion asset publicly-traded REIT. Specializing in underperforming properties, he managed the workout, exchange, and/or disposition of over $500 million of commercial real estate. Previously, Mr. Johnson was a Managing Director of a boutique investment bank where he provided advisory services to privately-held companies in the food and direct mail industries. Additionally, he assisted in the launch of the firm’s activist hedge fund, identifying and investing in underperforming companies.

Mr. Johnson spent four years with an international turnaround management firm in various capacities, including as Vice President of a $150 million business services company. During his tenure, the operations of the company were completely overhauled, the balance sheet restructured, and the company prepared for a successful sale. Other activities included providing interim management, forensic accounting and valuation services for at a national health care organization.

Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics from Franklin & Marshall College. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2004.
